FIRE PREVENTION CODE OF COLFAX COUNTY
ORDINANCE NO. 2007-01 AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2006-01
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF COLFAX COUNTY FIRE MARSHAL, AUTHORIZING BURN RESTRICTING AND ADOPTING NATIONAL FIRE SAFETY CODE CONCERNING OPEN FIRES AND OTHER MATTERS
NOTICE, is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Colfax County intends to adopt an amended ordinance that shall be known and be cited as ORDINANCE NO: 2007-01 AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2006-01 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF COLFAX COUNTY FIRE MARSHAL, AUTHORIZING BURN RESTRICTING AND ADOPTING NATIONAL FIRE SAFETY CODE CONCERNING OPEN FIRES AND OTHER MATTERS.
SUMMARY: An ordinance to protect the persons and property located in the County from hazardous conditions arising from fires, through the establishment of the position of Colfax County Fire Marshal and Fire Chiefs.
The proposed amended ordinance to establish the position of Colfax County Fire Marshal and fire chiefs, Authorizing Burn Restrictions and Adopting National Fire Safety Code Concerning Open Fires and Other Matters. The County desires to protect persons and property, through the adoption and enforcement and provisions of the National Fire Safety Codes, Uniform Fire Code, 2003 Edition NFPA 1.
A copy of the proposed ordinance can be seen in the Colfax County Commission Office, 230 North Third, Raton, New Mexico, Colfax County Courthouse, Monday-Friday, 8-5.
